Jalon

Jalon Daniels is a second year from Lexington, SC studying Statistics and hopefully Systems Engineering or Commerce. He is also pursuing a minor in Science and Technology Policy. Jalon has been a musician all of his life, originally playing piano, teaching flute and then becoming a percussionist. Jalon was a member of the front ensemble for the Cavalier Marching Band and is the principal mallet percussionist for the University Wind Ensemble. Jalon also is a singer, and has sang for his church, and has recently become apart of the University Singers and the Hullabahoos (an all-male acapella group on grounds).

Outside of AGG, Jalon is very involved in student government. He is a first-year judge for the University Judiciary Committee and a member of education outreach for the Honor Committee. He also loves to give back to his community, as seen in his membership in the UVA Best Buddies program, being an outreach representative for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research and being apart of the Black Male Initiative. In his spare time, Jalon enjoys listening to music, going to concerts, talking, reading the DailyMail, watching Instagram videos and documenting his shenanigans on Snapchat. Jalon is a lover of music and the arts at UVA, and would love to help inspire others to be apart of a great artistic community.
