Ian

Ian MacPherson is a first year from central New Jersey studying architecture, looking to concentrate in the pre-professional track. When he's not doing studio work at the A School, you can usually find Ian painting on the Lawn, reading in trees, playing piano at Old Cabell Hall, or hitting the road on the quest for the best tea in the Charlottesville area. Aside from doing artsy things, Ian works as a Student Ambassador with Admissions and a student teacher at Western Albemarle High School, chairs the School of Architecture Wellness Initiative, is a member of the administrative Diversity Committee, represents the first year class in SARC StudCo (architecture student council), and performs oratory at the Washington Literary Society & Debating Union. He is dedicated to the Arts at UVA and would love to talk about all things architecture, UVA, and the college experience.
